Alexandru Lascu — design engineer
Sphericon was founded in 2024 on a simple observation: many good design ideas get lost between the render and the workshop. The studio fills exactly that gap — photorealistic design and, at the same time, technical documentation that manufacturers can build from without guesswork.
The experience behind it was built over more than a decade at the crossroads of furniture design, CNC manufacturing and mixed timber–steel structures — from residential cabinetry to exhibition stands built against the clock and outdoor structures.
Education and training
I graduated from Moldova State University in Economics and Computer Science. My career, however, moved towards engineering, particularly in the furniture industry and the automation of production workflows.
To go deeper into engineering, I trained in the design software SolidWorks, Archicad, Bazis Woodworker and Autodesk Inventor.
In 2023 I completed the one-year Product Design course at Link Academy.
