Working together

Collaboration & FAQ

Answers to the questions that come up most often before we start working together. Can’t find your answer? Write to me directly.

How do I request a quote?
Send me a short description of the project by email or WhatsApp: what needs to be designed, approximate dimensions, your target deadline and any visual reference you have (sketch, photo, link). I usually reply within 1–2 working days, either with clarifying questions or straight away with an indicative quote.
What information do I need to send for an accurate estimate?
The minimum: project type (furniture, stand, structure, product), the dimensions of the space or the overall size of the piece, preferred materials (if any), the deadline and the target budget. The more specific the brief, the more accurate the estimate. For furniture, a survey or room measurements help enormously. For stands, the floor plan of the rented space and the exhibition rules.
What are typical lead times?
It depends on complexity. As a guide: a single cabinet or a simple display — a few days from the final brief; a complete kitchen with production documentation — 1–2 weeks; an exhibition stand or a hybrid timber–steel structure — 2–4 weeks, depending on the number of design iterations. The exact timeline is agreed in the quote.
Do you only design, or do you also handle manufacturing?
The core service is design and engineering: 3D model, renders, production documentation and CNC-ready files. On request I can recommend partner workshops or provide technical supervision of the build — agreed case by case, depending on the project and location.
How are files handed over?
Delivery is electronic: PDF for drawings and presentations, DWG/DXF for technical drawings, STEP/3DM for 3D models, plus CAM/CNC files in the format your machine requires. Files are shared via download link or the channel we agree on. At the end of the project you receive the complete package, organised into folders.
How many revisions are included?
Quotes normally include two rounds of revisions at concept stage and one on the documentation. Major structural changes after design sign-off (for example resizing the whole assembly) are quoted separately. The aim is to lock the direction early so the documentation flows without rework.
Do you work with workshops that have no CNC?
Yes. The production documentation is adapted to the workshop’s technology: for conventional workshops I deliver dimensioned drawings and cutting lists for panel saw cutting; for CNC workshops I deliver the programs and nesting directly.
Can you take over a project someone else started?
Yes, after an initial review. Send me the existing files (any format) and I will tell you what can be reused and what has to be redone to reach buildable documentation.
How does payment work?
As standard: a deposit when the project starts and the balance on delivery of the final documentation. Longer projects can be invoiced by phase (concept / documentation / CNC). Details are set out in the quote.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes. For brands and unreleased products, confidentiality is standard practice — I can sign your NDA or provide a simple one.
